Farhang Niroomand, PhD, is an established presence in the Victoria, TX, academic community who teaches University of Houston-Victoria students as an international business and economics professor. Extensively published in his field, Farhang Niroomand has served on the editorial board of the Society for Advancement of Management’s Advanced Management Journal and holds editorial advisory board responsibilities with The International Trade Journal.

As dean of the University of Houston-Victoria in TX from 2009 to 2017, Dr. Niroomand worked to expand business school offerings and bring top academic professionals on board within a faculty that reflected a diverse, non-traditional student body. Closely involved in constituency development, he oversaw the creation of a pair of endowed professorships, as well as several Partnership Professorships that recognized highly productive faculty members.

During this time, Dr. Niroomand also served on the Southwest Texas Border Small Business Development Center Network’s advisory board. Since 2007 he has been executive secretary-treasurer with the international economics honor society, Omicron Delta Epsilon. Strongly connected with his professional community, Farhang Niroomand and his school of business maintain membership in the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International).
